Here's how navajo opens her diary Top Trial Lawyer’s Arguments for No on Prop 8:
California’s Proposition 8 will be voted on November 4. If the proposition passes, its proponents hope that it will outlaw gay marriage in California. The proponents, mostly religious groups from around the country, have spent millions of dollars on false and misleading TeeVee ads supporting a "Yes" vote on Prop. 8. In one of the "Yes" ads, a law professor, Richard Peterson, claims that without passage of Prop. 8 elementary school teachers will be legally required to teach gay marriage in the schools.
That's right. The folks fighting to retain marriage equality are being out spent by folks who seem to have no problem with lying to & misleading voters to scare them into changing the California State Constitution. Yes on 8 (Yes on Hate) signs and bumperstickers can be seen all over the state. If you do nothing more, please recommend navajo's diary where you will find James Brosnahan's excellent letter to Richard Peterson.
Of course there's lots more that you can do.
For now please recommend navajo's diary and rescue it from daily kos oblivion.
If you're in the SF Bay Area, please attend the demonstration this coming Sunday at the Oakland Mormon Temple:
There's a No on 8 demonstration in front of the Mormon Temple in Oakland (4770 Lincoln Avenuem, just east of Lincoln Way/Monterey Boulevard/Warren Freeway/Highway 13) this Sunday from 9 AM to noon. The media will be there. Everyone is invited.

Btw, the demo is a response to the $18.64 million contributed to Yes on 8 by 59,000 Mormon families in just over 3 months.
