This is pretty sweet. A woman from Code Pink went on stage and attempted to make a citizen's arrest of Karl Rove when he was in San Francisco today. Check out the video below the fold.
If you can't see the video, the woman went up on stage and asked why there were no women up there. She introduced herself to Rove and stuck out her hand to shake with him, then tried to slap the handcuffs on him. He shrugged his shoulder jerking his arm out of the way as a security guard grabbed the woman and carried her away.
The charge for which she was attempting to arrest Rove? "Treason."
Later in the video you see a couple of other ladies dragged out of the theater.
And finally they played a great exchange between Rove and George Mitchell:
ROVE: Yesterday, John Kerry, your nominee of your party in 2004 stands up and says 'John McCain was asked the question whether he wore boxers or briefs and his answer would be Depends'. [Mitchell and crowd laughs]. I think that's pretty much under the table and pretty nasty.
MITCHELL: I have to say I feel like Dorothy in the Land of Oz hearing you lecture about negative campaigns by others. [More laughter]
In other videos you can see the full exchange where they get into a heated argument about the tactics used against McCain in 2000. Rove claims he had no involvement with those attacks, the ones insinuating that Bridget McCain, their adopted daughter, was the product of an extramarital affair on the part of John.
