I dont know if there was a diary on this but in Wolfman Blitzer's interview of McShame he stated that he could not give an answer on whehter he would honor the Agreement being worked out for a 2011 complete withdrawall by the US from Iraq. He had "to see the conditions on the ground."
At the same time he is advertising himself as being "tested" on the Commander and Chief role. Supposedly his "test" is when he was a fighter pilot on a carrier during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Somebody talk me down on this one. He wants to stay beyond the date that even the most conservative Iraqis will allow us to stay. (Maybe he should run for Iraqi Head of State). On what basis would he have to overrule a democracy's decision to throw us the hell out? He says being a fighter pilot with no policy involvement is the basis for his being tested during a crisis like the Cuban Missile Crisis? I dont get it...
If someone can make any sense of these disconnects for me besides his evident ptsd, please explain. Thanks!
