Minnesota is the only state to vote entirely for the Democratic Presidential candidate since 1972, when McGovern was crushed by Nixon. Minnesota lead the nation in turnout in 2004 and is one of the most educated states. All this equates to an Obama win.
The senate race between Franken and Coleman will likely further increase turnout. If the trends continue, there is no reason to believe that McCain has an hope of winning and may actually cost Coleman his Senate seat.
