Sarah Palin has stepped across the line one time too many. Its what they would call on the "Chappelle Show" habitual line stepping. Its time for Debbie Wasserman Shultz or Claire McCaskill or another female Obama surrogate to go ahead and turn this tramp over their knees and spank her ass like the petulant little child she is. Its not as if there isn't a plethora of good material to use. At some point we have to draw the line in the sand and say that just because Sarah Palin is a woman doesn't mean she can say what ever in the hell she wants to!
Trooper-Gate, Disability Gate, Earmark Queen, Child Abuser, Liar, Idiot. These are just a few of the topics that need to be CRUSHING Sarah Palin for the next 4 weeks of this election. I mean if we aren't going to attack her we might as well roll over and play dead. The next thing you know she will be saying Barack Obama is a coward and is going to give up and surrender in Iraq. Oh wait, I forgot, SHE ALREADY DID THAT with 80 million Americans watching. My blood is seriously boiling right now and I HOPE that Obama's is as well behind the scenes. Before I go any further I guess I should address what she said THIS TIME.
"There's been a lot of interest in what I read lately. Well, I was reading my copy of today's New York Times and I was really interested to read about Barack's friends from Chicago. Turns out, one of his earliest supporters is a man who, according to The New York Times was a domestic terrorist and part of a group that, quote, 'launched a campaign of bombings that would target the Pentagon and the U.S. Capitol.' These are the same guys who think patriotism is paying higher taxes. This is not a man who sees America as you and I do - as the greatest force for good in the world. This is someone who sees America as imperfect enough to pal around with terrorists who targeted their own country. This, ladies and gentlemen, has nothing to do with the kind of change anyone can believe in - not my kids and not your kids. The only man who can take on Washington is John McCain."
Now two days ago this DUMB BIOTCH couldn't even name ONE newspaper she has read. Today she is misquoting the NYT article that actually said the OPPOSITE of what she said. I know conventional wisdom is saying don't attack her because people will feel sorry for her. But I also know this and I will probably catch some hell from some people about this but its my believe and I have seen it so its also my experience: When a woman abuses a man over and over again if that man ever defends himself the people who have seen the whole saga don't harbor ill will towards him most of the time. On the contrary in fact a lot of the times a man who allows himself to be attacked over a long period of time he tends to be come the subject of ridicule being called weak or henpecked by both men and women alike. If a Sarah Palin is bold enough to come out her slanderous mouth that Obama is palling around with terrorist then she had better be woman enough to withstand getting attacked about being a child abuser. She needs to be ready to get attacked for LYING repeatedly to the American people. She needs to be ready to be attacked for using our tax dollars like a federal welfare system for her state of Alaska. But bigger than that WE need to be ready to attack HER and shut her damn mouth. Its hard to throw punches when you are constantly eating them!
I know that this diary won't change anything but dammit I needed to vent. I could take it when McCain and his cronies were making these lines. At least they are out there to try to defend them. She hides out in a bat cave and only comes out to make attacks. We need to NUKE her ass from her hiding place with our OWN attacks and then she will HAVE to talk to the MSM or risk allowing us to shape her narrative. At least then she will have to defend these bullshit attacks in front of the world just like McCain had to do in some interviews.
UPDATE: I wrote this Diary yesterday on Saturday when Palin's words first came out. I had already published a Diary which I was pretty happy with so I figured I would draft this one and wait till tomorrow (today) to publish it. Well lo and behold what is running on the crawl of both CNN and MSNBC? Why of course Palin's statement attacking Barcak Obama about Bill Ayers. The most interesting thing is neither on CNN nor on MSNBC are they reading Barack Obama's response to the statement which points out the very article she was quoting made the case that there was NOT a major tie between the two men. Instead both networks just gloss over the response and focus on the part where the Obama campa called the attacks dispicable or horribla or some other pejorative. Well as I was PISSED OFF last night I started looking around the internet and what do you know...I found John McCain's real life Bill Ayers. I am asking every reader of this Diary to REC me only to try to get this story out and have it go viral. We need to hang this around John McCain's head in the blogosphere and demand the MSM cover it.
Now who am I talking about? Most people might assume its another Charles Keating retread. Well even thought the MSM has been beyond remiss in not coming out with that one especially in light of our current financial crisis and although I believe Joe Biden SHOULD mention it since he was in Congress when it happened and it will cause McCain to play defense, NO thats not who I am referencing. The man I am talking about is G. GORDON LIDDY. I know many people might be scrambling their brains because that name sounds familiar but you can't quite picture it. You see G. Gordon Liddy was a central figure in the Watergate Scandal. He has served time for his role in the scandal and now he has a conservative radio talk show (of course). But more than that he is also a very good friend of John McCain's. John McCain has never repudiated G Gordon Liddy and instead these are the kinds of things he says about Liddy
"I'm proud of you, I'm proud of your family," he gushed. "It's always a pleasure for me to come on your program, Gordon, and congratulations on your continued success and adherence to the principles and philosophies that keep our nation great."
Now the author of the article explores that statement better than I ever could.
Which principles would those be? The ones that told Liddy it was fine to break into the office of the Democratic National Committee to plant bugs and photograph documents? The ones that made him propose to kidnap anti-war activists so they couldn't disrupt the 1972 Republican National Convention? The ones that inspired him to plan the murder (never carried out) of an unfriendly newspaper columnist?
Liddy was in the thick of the biggest political scandal in American history -- and one of the greatest threats to the rule of law. He has said he has no regrets about what he did, insisting that he went to jail as "a prisoner of war."
All this may sound like ancient history. But it's from the same era as the bombings Ayers helped carry out as a member of the Weather Underground. And Liddy's penchant for extreme solutions has not abated.
In 1994, after the disastrous federal raid on the Branch Davidian compound in Waco, Texas, he gave some advice to his listeners: "Now if the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms comes to disarm you and they are bearing arms, resist them with arms. Go for a head shot; they're going to be wearing bulletproof vests. ... Kill the sons of bitches."
He later backed off, saying he meant merely that people should defend themselves if federal agents came with guns blazing. But his amended guidance was not exactly conciliatory: Liddy also said he should have recommended shots to the groin instead of the head. If that wasn't enough to inflame any nut cases, he mentioned labeling targets "Bill" and "Hillary" when he practiced shooting.
Given Liddy's record, it's hard to see why McCain would touch him with a 10-foot pole. On the contrary, he should be returning his donations and shunning his show. Yet the senator shows no qualms about associating with Liddy -- or celebrating his service to their common cause.
In a seperate article you have a little more detail on this great friend of John McCain's
As Media Matters for America has noted, Liddy served four and a half years in prison in connection with his conviction for his role in the Watergate break-in and the break-in at the office of the psychiatrist of Daniel Ellsberg, the military analyst who leaked the Pentagon Papers. Liddy has acknowledged preparing to kill someone during the Ellsberg break-in "if necessary"; plotting to murder journalist Jack Anderson; plotting with a "gangland figure" to murder Howard Hunt to stop him from cooperating with investigators; plotting to firebomb the Brookings Institution; and plotting to kidnap "leftist guerillas" at the 1972 Republican National Convention — a plan he outlined to the Nixon administration using terminology borrowed from the Nazis.
Now you may be asking just how strong the ties with Liddy are to McCain well here is what Media Matters has to say on the subject
Liddy has donated $5,000 to McCain's campaigns since 1998, including $1,000 in February 2008. In addition, McCain has appeared on Liddy's radio show during the presidential campaign, including as recently as May. An online video labeled "John McCain On The G. Gordon Liddy Show 11/8/07" includes a discussion between Liddy and McCain, whom Liddy described as an "old friend." During the segment, McCain praised Liddy's "adherence to the principles and philosophies that keep our nation great," said he was "proud" of Liddy, and said that "it's always a pleasure for me to come on your program."
Additionally, in 1998, Liddy reportedly held a fundraiser at his home for McCain. Liddy was reportedly scheduled to speak at another fundraiser for McCain in 2000. The Charlotte Observer reported on January 23, 2000, that McCain's campaign vouched for Liddy's "character":
His [McCain's] campaign officials said Liddy's character will appeal to many voters because he was following orders from President Nixon and kept silent afterward.
"His (Liddy's) judgment might be in question, but I don't think his character is," said Ed Walker, the York County chairman of McCain's campaign. "He was following orders just like any good soldier, and he didn't tell on anybody. He felt like he was on a mission and kept his silence."
and here is the link to McCain's appearance on Liddy's show
Folks G. Gordon Liddy's name needs to be on the crawls of all the major cable networks tomorrow and we are the ones who can get it done. Early in the summer there were a few articles about Liddy but nobody pushed it enough to get the MSM to notice. We the people need to stand up and make this an issue if the wingnuts are going to try to make Ayers an issue! No Swift Boating Allowed this year!
P.S. While we are at it why not show John McCain for the radical that HE is ? PNAC
John McCain has long been a major player in a radical militaristic group driven by an ideology of global expansionism and dominance attained through perpetual, pre-emptive, unilateral, multiple wars. The credo of this group is "the end justifies the means," and the end of establishing the United States as the world’s sole superpower justifies, in its estimation, anything from military control over the information on the Internet to the use of genocidal biological weapons. Over its two terms, the George W. Bush administration has planted the seeds for this geopolitical master plan, and now appears to be counting on the McCain administration, if one comes to power, to nurture it.
The Road Map to War
The blueprint for this "new order" was drafted in February 1992, at the end of the George H.W. Bush administration when Defense Department staffers Paul Wolfowitz, I. Lewis Libby and Zalmay Khalilzad, acting under then-Secretary of Defense Dick Cheney, drafted the Defense Planning Guidance (DPG). This document, also known as the "Wolfowitz Doctrine," was an unofficial, internal document that advocated massive increases in defense spending for purposes of strategic proliferation and buildup of the military in order to establish the pre-eminence of the United States as the world’s sole superpower. Advocating pre-emptive attacks with nuclear, chemical or biological weapons, it proclaimed that "the U.S. must show the leadership necessary to establish and protect a new order that holds the promise of convincing potential competitors that they need not aspire to a greater role or pursue a more aggressive posture to protect their legitimate interests." The document was also quite clear about what should be the United States’ main objective in the Middle East, especially with regard to Iraq and Iran, which was to "remain the predominant outside power in the region and preserve U.S. and Western access to the region’s oil." The Wolfowitz Doctrine was leaked to The New York Times and The Washington Post, which published excerpts from it. Amid a public outcry, President George H.W. Bush retracted the document, and it was substantially revised.
The original mission of the Wolfowitz Doctrine was not lost, however. In 1997, William Kristol and Robert Kagan founded The Project for the New American Century (PNAC), a nongovernment political action organization that sought to develop and advocate for the militant, geopolitical tenets contained in the Wolfowitz Doctrine. PNAC’s original members included Wolfowitz, Cheney, Khalilzad, Libby, John Bolton, Elliott Abrams, Donald Rumsfeld, William J. Bennett, and other soon-to-be high officers in the Bush administration.
McCain’s Ties to PNAC
John McCain’s connection to PNAC can be traced back to before its formation in 1997. In fact, he was president of the New Citizenship Project, founded by Kristol in 1994. This organization was parent to PNAC, and served as its chief fundraising organ.
