Apparently the RNC is going to file a complaint questioning Senator Obama's campaign contributions. They believe the small funds are from overseas donors.
"We believe that the American people should know first and foremost if foreign money is pouring into a presidential election," said RNC Chief Counsel Sean Cairncross

The RNC has convinced themselves that many of the hundreds of thousands of small donations came from other countries. The Washington Post sites the Nigerians for Obama as an example, even though the Obama campaign refused any assistance from them and contacted the newspaper that reported it directly.
"When we were made aware of an ad for a Nigerians for Obama fundraiser in a Nigerian paper, our attorneys sent a letter to the paper making it clear the event had nothing to do with our campaign, and that we would not accept contributions from the event," one Obama aide said.
Senator Obama did return $33,000 to a group that tried to purchase some t-shirts. Even John McCain has had to return $50,000 from overseas contributors.
At the heart of the RNC complaint is a federal fundraising rule that lets campaigns accept donations under $200 without itemizing the names and addresses of the donors on its campaign finance reports. The rule was intended as a matter of practicality -- it did not seem reasonable to ask a campaign to gather that information from every five-dollar donor.
But the Obama campaign has raised more than $200 million this way, a staggering sum for donations that will not be subjected to outside scrutiny.
It is clear that the Republicans are fearing an earthquake of massive proportions and they are trying to make anything and everything stick. The issue I am most concerned with is the fact that the FEC is stock piled with cronies. The FEC is extremely corrupt. It is a weak attempt at making a stink, and I am sure that Senator Obama will be open and honest. If there are any donations that are questionable, he will return them as he did in the past.
UPDATE: As some of you have pointed out, and rightly, that this is an attempt to make Senator Obama appear to be accepting foreign donations and some of the contributors could be "terrorists." We are hearing the meme all over the MSM about Senator Obama's associations with Ayers...and on and on and on. We have a long list that needs to be brought up again, and some fresh stuff. If they want to go down that road, McCain will not like the outcome.
