The election now enters its last and most important phase and if you want Obama to win,it's now or never.Stop living by the polls and go out there and work as hard as you can. Make no mistake about it,this election will be as close as it gets.
The equation is quite simple : If Obama wins Colorado,Minnesota and Florida, he wins the election.Don't count on red states like VA,IN or NC turning blue,it won't happen. If they somehow do turn blue,it'll be a pleasant surprise but don't bank on that and the Obama campaign isn't really banking on that either. So, if you live in safe blue states and want to effectively work for the campaign, Florida is the place to be.
This last two weeks we've had the most friendly environment in this election yet, with the economy beeing front and center,McCain's botched reaction to the crisis and the Palin interviews. The next weeks are likely to be the complete opposite:The media want a close election and they will relay every dubious claim made by the Mccain ads; There won't be half as much talk about the economy as in the last weeks ; The republicans, I can confirm you that, are planning some unprecedented negative campaign tactics including election fraud in key battleground states. As we've seen back in August and in the previous elections, negative campaign works . The difference this time should be our determination to strike back just as hard cos if we allow McCain to come back again,he'll win .
Getting complacent because of the current polls is exactly what the McCain campaign want you to do, that's why they announced to the whole world (when they didn't have to) that they're pulling out of Michigan.Don't fall into that trap and keep working as if we were 10 points down.If you think we are winning in a landslide, you might have a very rude awakening on the 4th of November.
