I was thinking about Sarah Palin's opening comments to Joe Biden at the Vice Presidential campaign. At the time I didn’t think anything about her "friendly" greeting, "Can I call you Joe?" Only later did I realize her introduction was a setup for a later rehearsed comment, "Say it ain’t so Joe."
With just a few weeks left before the election and the McCain ticket trailing badly, they have decided to go all out negative. Forget our plunging economy! Forget health care! Forget the issues! All guns aimed to scare the living daylights out of voters that Obama cannot be trusted and might even be a terrorist.
And there is much speculation about McCain's behavior at tomorrow's Presidential debate in Nashville, TN. Will he pull a Palin and refuse to answer the questions asked? Just how low will he go when face to face with Senator Obama.
An early give away might occur as they shake hands prior to the debate. If McCain asks, "Can I call you Hussein?" we will know the game is on! [Cartoonists, feel free to take this and run with it!]
McCain's Vice Presidential running mate brings up Bill Ayers at every campaign stop. Will McCain mention this tomorrow night?
McCain's advocate at the New York Times, Bill Kristol, brought back Reverend Wright in his column today. Will McCain mention Reverend Wright?
Bush was good at using "codes" to send his supporters messages about his Christian fundamentalism. Will McCain use coded words? If so will they contain racial, religious, or traitorous implications?
