OMG!!! Palin draws huge crowd in Florida!!!
I know you'll all call me a concern troll but we've got to do something. Obama has to hit hard and not just concede the "hockey mom" vote! National polls don't matter!!! It's the SWING STATES that count!!!
I am so mad!!! How can SO MANY Americans be fooled with Sarah Palin and go to see her repeat her stump smears accusing Obama of being un-American and "palling with terrorists"? After being overruled by the grown-ups and not allowed to visit the non-swing state Michigan, and instead spending her time wisely in those razor-thin margin swing state of California and Nebraska, Sarah Palin's now in Florida for two days.
I've been concerned because they've advertised hard for the past week....
Ticket Demand High For Palin's Clearwater Rally, GOP Office Says
Phones were ringing virtually from the time the office opened this morning, with callers wondering whether they could reserve the tickets, but they were told if they wanted them, they'd have to pick them up in person
The local Fox affiliate got to the story this morning...
Palin rally brings 20,000 to Clearwater
Thousands of people headed to Clearwater's Coachman Park this morning to hear from one of the most popular Republicans in the country -- Sen. John McCain's running mate, Sarah Palin.
Lines formed before 5 a.m. for the Alaskan governor's speech, which did not start until 9 a.m. -- one of several such stops in Florida, a key battleground state that polls say is still too close to call in the race between McCain and Sen. Barack Obama.
The rally could cause traffic tie-ups in downtown Clearwater this morning. Fort Harrison Avenue is closed near the park, along with Cleveland and Drew streets. However, a free shuttle is running between Jack Russell Stadium and the park until noon.
Then Sarah Palin showed up.
The CBS affiliate guessed randomly:
A crowd of as many as 10,000 greeted the Alaska governor.
Then, Fox updated the story:
Republican Party officials say they distributed 20,000 tickets to today's event, but police estimated the crowd at around 4,500.
HAHAHAHAH!!! Palin, Crist, Martinez and Lieberman can't even combine to draw 1/4 of crowd of the local hockey team (Tampa Bay Lightning-average attendance:18,000+)
(14 minutes, 31 seconds and ticking...)
