It really is that simple folks.
There was a moment in tonight's debate when John McCain tried to reach the people. McCain started talking about how tough he is and how tough Americans are and how we help out our comrades, and this just came across as awkward, very very awkward.
On the other hand Barrack Obama nailed it. Obama was empathetic, he was no Bil Clinton, but he showed that he understands how people struggle because his mom and grandmother sacrificed for him.
McCain tried to talk about how daddy was away and how dark it gets, and that just came across as creepy. I kinda felt bad for the guy.
As the polls have shown Obama is more likable, and people like likable.
The polls are rolling in Obama's direction, the ground game is strong, Obama is not making mistakes and McCain is just plain unlikable, and Palin has not changed a thing. The only thing I fear is the race issue, but I am optimistic that the young folks who are coming out strong for Obama will help make up for the older racists who aren't telling pollsters their true feelings.
My last thought is this, as I watched CNN's post debate coverage I was tickled pink about one thing, CNN totally ignored the spin room, and Anderson Cooper even called it a waste of time. I chuckled for a few after that.
