This is the headline of today's article in the Anchorage Daily News. According to the article, which cites Palin's sworn statement, Todd Palin spoke with over a dozen state officials, many repeatedly, in what the article describes as "his crusade" to get his ex-brother-in-law, Mike Wooten, fired.

In his statement, Todd Palin stated that he believed that the reason Monegan was fired was a dispute between Monegan, the governor and her staff about "budget issues" and his failure to fill vacancies.
As noted over the last few weeks, the original claim by the Palins about the firing was that Monegan was not approved to attend a conference in D.C. But, as we all learned in recent weeks, Monegan was approved for that trip. http://abcnews.go.com/...
So, in an effort to hone the well developed Republican skill of shifting excuses as the first ones are discovered to be untrue, Todd alleges failure to fill vacancies. Wonder what the records will show about that.
The "First Dude" also stated that there were other problems creating tension between Sarah and Monegan. Those included an inquiry about whether Sarah "hockey mom" Palin failed to put Trig in a car seat while she was driving on one occasion, and why the state trooper airplane was unavailable for the governor's use at some point.
On the car seat, Monegan sent an e-mail to the governor on June 30, 12 days before he lost his job, that said: "Via a soon-to-be-retiring legislator, we received a complaint that had you driving with Trig not in an approved car seat; if this is so that would be awkward in many ways.
The governor fired back from her private e-mail account: "I've never driven Trig anywhere without a new, approved car seat. I want to know who said otherwise -- pls provide me that info now.
Of course the vindictive, Petty, Palin would want to know who had made such statements. As we know, Alaskans faced peril if they ever went against the (Palin) family. Although the Palins denied the car seat rumor, it seems there may have been a bit of truth to it, as Todd stated that the governor was a passenger in a truck "on a private farm road without traffic at low speed."
Like his wife ,who seems to lack remorse for any of her recent conduct, Todd is unapologetic about his crusade against Monegan.
I make no apologies for wanting to protect my family and wanting to publicize the injustice of a violent trooper keeping his badge and abusing the worker compensation system. The real investigation that needs to be conducted for the best interests of the public at large is the Department of Public Safety's unwillingness to discipline its own."
