and I hope you get to see your nephew become POTUS.
Odd how this comes out now, isn't it ?
The Associated Press found that Obama's aunt had been instructed to leave the country four years ago by an immigration judge who rejected her request for asylum from her native Kenya.
David Axelrod makes the comment;
I think people are suspicious about stories that surface in the last
72 hours of a national campaign.
Yes David, we most certainly are.
Estimates vary, but many experts believe there are more than 10 million such immigrants in the U.S.
How neat that the AP has come up with a 1 in 10 000 000 story, isn't it ?
more below the jump:
Barack's aunt gave money, and she doesn't have much, to her nephew's
campaign, $260 in $5 dollar increments. Obama gave it back, she can't
contribute to his campaign.
She was able to see Barack become a US Senator in 2004.
The AP apparently thinks Barack's aunt should be available for comment
and has tried to hunt her down, ummm, I mean interview her;
The AP could not immediately reach (Barack's aunt) for comment. When a reporter went to her home Friday night, no one answered the door. A neighbor said she was often not home on weekends. (Barack's aunt) did not immediately return
telephone and written messages left at her home.
Gosh, maybe the AP should have Bill O'reily's or Shaun Hannity's
investigative teams try to harass her, err, I mean talk to her.
The AP was able to speak to her land lord;
In Boston, (name), communications director for the Housing Authority, said (Barack's aunt) had been screened and approved for public housing as an "eligible non-citizen" when she moved in in 2003. She said the authority is not notified of deportation orders and did not know (Barack's aunt) was related to Obama until two days ago.
How nice that the AP was able to speak with someone, isn't it ?
Golly gee, they were able to speak to her landlord, how news worthy.
Well, Obama's aunt, welcome, I for one and I'm sure the rest of my
Daily Kos friends wish you well and hope that you get so see your
nephew become the next president of these United States, in person,
get to see it live, while standing close to him, with him and the
rest of your Obama family.
