jeffersonville indiana... early voting was crazee fun today. i got my number for the line at 12:15 and voted at 4:45. waited outside in the bright sunshine with tons of folks, many obama supporters... you could tell the mccain folks. they looked a tad on the bitter side (sorry you've got a bad candidate).
read a book, chatted with friends and acquaintances... walked down the street for some lunch, saw an impromptu "obama for president" parade... just a few cars decorated with red, white and blue balloons, signs and streamers. very exciting with folks on the street cheering and other cars honking. absolutely beautiful.
the doors had closed at 4... the workers in the courthouse estimated they would be there well past 9pm tonite until the last voter went through the line.
i got a little bit emotional casting my vote today. just thinking of folks that i've met in my lifetime(miss donna, cheryl, mama sarah, mr bivens) some who are no longer with us, that have worked and prayed for someone like barack to come along...
and later, driving home -- a full on cry -- i mean, a hard cry and it felt good. and i passed again, the obama parade... it had grown by several cars. just an awesome, upbeat day.
get ready america... i can feel it. there's a new day coming. hallelujah!!!!
sorry this was so short. but it's sweet!!
