Hi folks,
Two weeks ago I was at the new bookstore in Binghamton NY and I noticed a remainder on the wall cheap. It was Studs Terkel's "Hope Dies Last". I began reading the individual chapters haphazardly, loving the stories about union organizers and Galbraiths assessment of Enron. I still have to finish it.
As I was reading, I said to myself "Man, This is great. I got to go to one of his book signings and hear him read."
Sigh.
The obituary said that he was sick and hoping to make it to the elections.
I don't think he has to worry.
Hope will not die.
