Today's key message is to Get Out The Vote (GOTV). We're in a very tight race and it’s a DEAD HEAT now. Even if Obama has it in the bag, its essential that we don’t skip voting. The early vote counts so far show that YES on Proposition 8 is ahead. Its critical to encourage people to vote! Please volunteer with No on Proposition 8!

Mormons and Proposition 8 article in The Los Angeles Times
Of all people, Mormons should be sensitive to those seeking nontraditional unions.
Reports that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a big supporter of Proposition 8 should sadden all Mormons. Based on the unique history of Mormons, there is no religious group in our country that should be more tolerant of "nontraditional" forms of marriage than those of us whose ancestors were polygamist Mormons, who were persecuted because of theirtheir "nontraditional" marriages.

No on 8 Reveals New Ad Showing Obama, Schwarzenegger, Feinstein Joining Together Calling for Defeat of Unfair Initiative
Ad Answers Proposition 8’s Dishonest Flyer Targeting African-American Voters
SACRAMENTO – Hours after the Proposition 8 campaign admitted it had mailed a flyer to African-American voters that lies about Sen. Barack Obama’s position on the initiative, the NO on 8 Campaign launched a statewide television ad reminding voters that Sen. Obama, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sen. Dianne Feinstein, as well as the state’s leading newspapers, have all called for the defeat of Proposition 8.

New Poll shows that our ads are working and we're ahead!
The latest Field Poll, released this Friday, shows that our campaign ads are working. Now that we are finally up on the air equal with the other side, we have turned our deficit in the polls into a very narrow lead with 49% indicating they plan to vote no and 44% saying they intend to vote yes.

JUST RELEASED: Our New Prop. 8 Web Ad
Folks, I'm so proud of this. Today we're releasing the final product of a totally volunteer, self-financed, zero-budget mostly netroots effort just finished today. My brother hekebolos and I wrote the script based on his original concept this week. It was produced by myself, my girlfriend theKK, and Reality Bites Back, with them doing the majority of the legwork to the tune of countless hours on the phone and tapping away at emails. I can't say enough of the efforts of Reality Bites Back, who directed the piece and walked it through pre- and post-production. Professional actors, crew and editors volunteered their time and talent for free, coming through in spades to support this production and very important cause. The Courage Campaign provided organizational backing, location and help with promotion.read more
Prop 8: They Called and nobody was home
The Call was billed as the biggest gathering of evangelicals to pray and organize against Prop 8. They booked Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego and pledged to fill it with 71,000 believers. My colleague Lucas O'Connor, known around these parts as withthelidoff managed to get in and get some footage himself of the actual turnout. It was more like 7,100 not 71,000. Check out this report and video.

Jesus v. the homosexuals
But I did have those thoughts. It was truly painful. It's too strong to say that attending this national Christian mega-event ("TheCall") against Prop 8 today at San Diego's Qualcomm Stadium made me feel raped or like a Jew touring a camp. Check out the great pictures and comments.read more from Rex Wockner
Breaking from The Call at Qualcomm: Nobody's Here
Let me be clear. I've been to a lot of all day music festivals, and generally people skip the first seven hours. So maybe that's what's going on here. But after a couple hours at Qualcomm earlier for the massive Yes on 8 rally organized by The Call...nobody's here. Check out the poor but illustrative video I grabbed with my Flip Video. I was down on the field, just to stage left. Joint was empty. They threw a party and nobody came. Read more at Calitics
I got something to say that might cause you pain
The wingnut monkeys are throwing crap through the cage bars, trying to hit anything. Check out the latest mailer from the Yes on Prop 8 idiots. As usual, the No on Prop 8 campaign responded immediately with an ad quoting Barack Obama setting the record straight.
Lying hypocritical bastards! Oops, I mean Republicans. Read more from SteveAudio
Prop 8: It's In Your Hands Now
There are 72 hours left to determine whether California will take a massive step backward on human rights and allow the far right to dictate policy here - or whether we can rally voters to make a stand for equality. Polls don't vote - it's time for us to go all out on GOTV to defeat Prop 8. read more from Calitics
