I know there are many sources of information out there that we as progressives can draw from. And to be honest, it gets a little embarrassing to continually reference dKos even if I have your links to original sources to back me up.
So what I am looking for help with is for you guys to help me compile a list of good informative sites that can broaden the knowledge base of the readers. Some people have been complaining about content, some people have been providing amazing content, but can't always rely on the front pagers to provide us with everything. We need to be the knowledgeable ones as well. I want to provide some sites that people can read too keep up or master issues that will make us better progressives, better advocates, and better citizens. Below the fold I'll start with what I think are useful sites or publications, and hopefully you guys can set out some more. I am hoping for issue based sites, more policy, less politics; if that possible.
Also, please let me know if there is another diary/f.a.q. piece like this, because I have not found any but I would gladly eliminate this diary if it is redundant.

I know this list isn't sorted like the above, and I know its not all of your comments but I am trying to check each one out before I post it. I have seen some people posting some really good sites, but some of them aren't really what I was hoping for. I want these to a list of publications, not merely 'news' because as we all know, deadlines dictate stories, and stories only give you a snippet. So I appreciate the links, and I am trying to put out the "broadsheets" and the others. But please try to focus on wonky policy type stuff.
