Sarah, we hardly knew ye....
The election's over; why is this woman still getting air time? We've heard more from her over the past week than we need to. Say anything new? Nope. Offer any truth re the wardrobe fiasco? Not a chance. Why does anyone care what the heck she has to say, anyway? She's still hitting her talking points, blah, blah, blah. Not a new thought out of her piehole in the 3-4 interviews she's done since Monday. Why do we even care?
Is there some chance that Palin is the Republican's only hope for 2012? Doesn't that say a lot about their party!
She says she's not interested in filling Stevens' seat, if he's expelled or finally loses the election. She also told Wolf Blitzer tonight that she has a "contract with Alaska" that she wants to fulfill -- i.e., finish out her term -- so that should effectively preclude her from going anywhere for at least the next two years. (Apparently that contract was not a consideration when she agreed to run with McCain, but that's a whole other story.)
We're consumed with Lieberman staying on as head of his committee; why can't we take that same energy and send every media outlet a letter or e-mail demanding no more airtime for this person? We're part of the media elite, right? Personally, if I have to chose the lesser of two evils, I'd take Lieberman over Palin any day of the week. Wouldn't you?
Gov. Palin needs to stay in Alaska and govern, and try to restore her plummetting approval ratings. She doesn't understand the results of the election. I don't want to hear anymore about her moose stew, per diem reimbursements, consignment clothing, thoughts from God. I don't want to know anything further about her son in Iraq, her daughter's pregnancy or shotgun marriage, or any updates re Piper or Trak. Enough already!
We need to help her understand she is no longer wanted on the airwaves or in print. Her 15 minutes of fame has long since expired. She's worse than Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan or Britney Spears. Old news. It's time to call it quits. Goodbye Gov. Palin. Go home, go back to governing. The lower 48 aren't interested in hearing from you any longer.
