In case we haven't noticed the upcoming presidential election is like running across a row of crocodiles with dynamite sticks strapped to their backs (and ours). It is clear the old guard is running its course, and hopefully soon it will have a seizure. After the steadfast and severe corruption of the Republic these last several years, lowering its esteemed standing our founding fathers envisioned and created, hijacked by the rabid right's divisive standard of "Ask not what you can do for your country, ask what your country can do for you; at the expense of most of its citizens, and how you can thwart every effort to retain democracy", we have come to an historical crossroad.
Many of us read the blogs, the online news, watch the news, and are pretty much stuffed to the gils with information. But few of us are able to tune into some good, solid facts and reasons regarding this whole schabang. There are a few people who have one foot in the science of the planets, while the other is firmly in their art of interpretation. I read some of these, and have found their observations to be very helpful in gaining a higher viewpoint of the big picture.
Lest you na'er sayers, head shakers and eye rollers think I have gone off my KOSmic rocker, and say the planets have nothing to do with us, let me first mention the vast array of water we have on this planet, and how said bodies are most definitely affected by the moon: tides and such. And lest we forget, we ourselves are 75% water and once a month during the full moon we all may have the tendency to be a little luna-tic.
All that said and without further ado I highly recommend reading Leigh Oswald's November column to get another perspective on WHAT THE F !*! is going on right now. As Obama says, Change does not come without a fight. The old guard does not want to let go. We are talkin' 'bout a Revolution. And I mean Pluto, in particular. No, not the dog. The planet. It has come full circle, a revolution, and on November 27th it will enter the place where it was when the USA sought its independence from Britain about 246 years ago. Fascinating stuff. Worth a read. Grab a glass and let's go.
The rare entrance of Pluto into Capricorn signals momentous change, but one that is stringent and far from comfortable and this coming period will see many power base economic struggles. The last time this Pluto placement happened was approximately 246 years ago, when the USA began its road to independent power away from British colonial control. That cycle has now come full term and another incarnation for the USA is in the ascendant.
Regarding a shift in power:
When times are tough we seek Salvationist figures that can bring an inspired new view, to rescue us and get us out of this "fine mess". This desire is in the collective unconscious of a large chunk of the American populace currently, and indeed elsewhere -- hence Obama’s global appeal.
The time of the old school politician is over. . . There is a growing longing amongst many for a newblooded, charismatic, caring, comforting, calm, wise and visionary statesman of a man, not a mere politician. The time seems ripe for such a towering figure. However some disillusionment is the risk, when the global odds and challenges are stacked against even the most seemingly inspiring and courageous man of the future.
