I have never lived in a battleground state before. I moved to VA about 10 years ago, but it has not been a battle ground state during that time... Until Now!!!
As I understand it, McCain's current assessment is that without winning PA he has no hope to win.
PA is the linchpin, but even if he wins PA and sweeps all of the tossups on CNN's current map Obama will be president.
VA is leaning Obama, but has not gone Democratic in 40 years and the lines have been long throughout the in person absentee voting (early voting).

I hope that the heavy early voting relieves some pressure on Tuesday. I posted this link yesterday after I voted. But I am afraid that lines might turn some people off.
VA is also one of the first polls to close in the country, 1900 EST. For the first time in my life my home state will be a barometer. If McCain wind PA and VA and he sweeps the toss-ups, he is the President.
Here is my plan for my specific sphere of influence:
I live in NOVA and have many acquaintances that are unenthusiastic voters. They have busy lives and say they will vote, but I am going to harass and help them all until they get to the polls. I am focusing on the ones that are most likely to avoid the line.
I also have three close friends that are very well informed and also Obama supporters, one from PA, one from NC and one from VA. I am trying to get them to do the same with their acquiescence.
If we hold the line in VA and PA the battle will be half won.
If we lose both I will be scared for our future. The purpose for this diary is to emphasize the point to all Obama supporters that if everyone that says they are voting for Obama does then we will make history on Tuesday. If we get complacent than we could lose.
What is your personal 48 hour plan (Not everyone is able to canvass or phonebank)?
