According to NBC Sen. Obama has led in the last 111 consecutive National Polls. The statistical probability that he will lose the popular vote is very small indeed. However, the past two national elections have been marked by considerable evidence of fraud, rigging and voter suppression. Past activity is a strong predictor of future action so I would assume that attempts will be made to subvert the process. True Ohio now has a Democratic
state apparatus as does North Carolina and Virginia so it may be more difficult for our friends on the right, however it seems that voting machine manipulation appears to be the great Achilles heal of the election process.
The question becomes is the margin of victory likely to be great enough to make any manipulation of the results appear preposterous on its face?
