This tragic story was just sent to me by a friend (the original author). If you need a little extra inspiration to get you through the next two days, read this:
A friend of mine named Terence Tolbert started working for Obama's field
organization in NV several months ago. Terence was the kind of campaign
soldier who would work eighteen hours a day and never ever show up in
anything other than a suit and tie, even on Sundays. He never even
loosened the tie. Next year he was thinking of running for State
Senator. Since he started working for Obama, every week or so he would
post a challenge to his Facebook page asking, "What have you done to
elect Obama President today?"
I loved reading the challenges. I never really did much to elect Obama,
though. I was a Hillary guy; I've got young kids; I run my own
business; blah-blah-blah.
Last night, in NV, Terence died of a heart attack. I've worked
side-by-side with him before, and I'm confident he worked himself to
death. He was 44.
Today I'm going to figure out something so I can do something. Better
late than never. The first thing I'm going to do is repeat Terence's
challenge to all of you, "What have you done to elect Obama President
today?"
