The New American refuses to believe hope is the way that losers explain how they will make it to the next go around;
The New American believes that given enough time people will demand that the media stop telling them lies or half truths and instead will only accept the truth about America, Americans, the World, and the impact that America has on the World;
The New American will only accept ideas, realistic concerns about real problems and/or solutions from their leaders instead of Orwellian-talk, platitudes and outright lies;
The New American will spend more time informing him or herself than seeking ways to blot out the truth with mindless entertainment;
The New American will not let his/her government declare wars on countries that do not palpably threaten our interests without demonstrable evidence which is not proven to be true before a single shot is fired and the support of other nations;
The New American will stop consuming for the purpose of feeding an inner hunger that never gets satisfied, but will seek other methods of satisfying its organic needs for meaning and spirituality;
The New American will shape the products they consume rather than being shaped by them;
The New American will recognize that each of us has a responsibility for the other and that we are citizens of the World which is not for us to use as we see fit but has its own uniqueness in every tribe, civilization, and wilderness;
The New American above all else will want to add to the wellbeing of others, whether they be human, animal, plant, living or non-living (eg, water, air, or just open spaces)
I welcome your thoughts, additions and ideas on how to broaden or refine this Manifesto which has been inspired by the events of Nov. 4, 2008
