I love Sarah Palin for three reasons: 1) she is hot looking; 2) she is my age; and 3) her existence makes it far easier for Democrats to win elections. Sadly, that has drawn me into a long-distance relationship with her.
I now know what a very, very unhealthy relationship feels like. My love and I don't get along. We disagree on virtually every issue. I don't think she is very bright, and she spends money (not her money) on clothes and hair and makeup like crazy.
But I thought to myself after one last dirty little fling around Thanksgiving -- turkey slaughtering video -- "That is it. I ain't going back there no more. I think I have really hit rock bottom and I can move on with my life."
But just when I thought I had made a clean break from my toxic relationship, out comes a new news report:

Her biggest political mistake was that she didn't run things more herself. Yep. That is it. Could have done better interviews. Could have done more interviews. Would have picked better media outlets.
It somehow feels good again. Like quitting smoking and sneaking that one last drag. Or maybe a drunken outing with an ex where afterwards you say, "Well, that didn't happen. We can't do that again."
But oh. Her words are so-oh-oh addicting! Her hero is Susan B. Anthony!!!! Oh yes. Cuz that makes so much sense. I mean, a woman who lived in Massachusetts and New York and fought for the rights of the oppressed and who has been rumored to have been a lesbian: http://www.fyne.co.uk/...
Yes, Sarah, go with THAT. That is your base right there, and what you should definitely say when you are being named "Conservative of the Year."
Then for the CNN media folk to make the baseless claim that she got "better" as she went along in the campaign. Just a stronger opiate for my addiction. Did the steering of the Titanic get "better" after they hit the iceberg? Maybe, but what difference could it possibly make.
I have to quit her. I know that. But she makes it just so darn hard (as Michael Scott would say "That's What She Said!).
