A powerful storm hit Southern California the week before Christmas, leaving casa trashablanca isolated from the outside world for three days. Thankfully, we were well provisioned and my dogs were here to keep me looking on the brighter side of life. Oh, Lordy, they made me laugh with joy at their antics. Here at the casa reside my dogs, Sara, JJ and Doobie, as well as my sister's dogs, Patches and Megan. They make quite the pack and they get along together exceptionally well.
As I'm typing this on Christmas day, the snow is nearly all gone and it's raining. The prevailing wind is northward and there's a big beautiful rainbow to the north of the house.
I'm on the leeward side of the San Bernardino mountains below Big Bear and above Apple Valley at about 3800 feet. Hop the jump for pictures of our snowy adventures.
Big props to real life good guy Eddie C for seeking and finding my html gremlins! Thanks, Eddie C!
Join me in furry fun and goodness.

Where's Megan?
Right here, safely overseeing the action

When my nephew, who's from Hawaii, first saw the snow in the morning, he ran outside barefoot and rolled in it, the supergenius. Here he is thirty seconds later with his feet to the stove.
This pic of Megan is a special shoutout to one of my favorite Kossacks who loves Doxies, even if they're half Cocker Spaniel, (not Beagle, sheesh!).
I'll close now with some scenic shots. Please feel free to post your own pics and to relate any winter adventures.

Snow in Southern California? Surely you jest.
