Everything is just fine and peachy, according to the latest posting from Focus on Family
We all need to be aware of the Good News:
Social Conservatism is Alive and Well
Dr. James Dobson is just so happy today. As you can see from today's posting from Focus he's learned that the members of the National Rifle Association share his views. In fact, he has polls to prove it.
'The pro-family movement has friends out there, and it’s wonderful that the National Rifle Association and its members are among them.'
A post-election poll shows the conservative movement is not dead yet.
Turns out, the 4 million members of the National Rifle Association (NRA) care about more than the Second Amendment right to bear arms.
Eighty-four percent of NRA members don’t want President-elect Barack Obama to expand abortion, a poll by ATI-Zogby International found. And 94 percent want Supreme Court judges to focus on U.S. laws instead of mixing in foreign law.
So Doctor Dobson welcomes them with open arms.
It seems that the Focus people just completely misread the NRA.
Gary Schneeberger, vice president of media and public relations at Focus on the Family, was on hand as the poll results were distributed this week in Washington, D.C.
"We have tended to pigeonhole NRA members as people who only care about gun rights," he said. "What this survey shows is that they care every bit as much as — in many cases, more than — values voters about those core issues of abortion, marriage and who’s going to be on the Supreme Court."
It looks like Wayne LaPierre
and Doctor Dobson will now be praying together, seeking the wisdom of the Almighty, and their love in Jesus Christ, as to how they can put as many dangerous rapid fire machine guns into the streets, and keep all those French and Greek influences out of the U.S. so that those nasty gays don't get all these God forsaken ideas, and seal up all those loose uteruses until the real men in real America are ready to use them.
And furthermore from Focus:
Kristi Hamrick, spokeswoman with the Campaign for Working Families, said the conservative movement can learn from the poll.
"The pro-family movement has friends out there, and it’s wonderful that the National Rifle Association and its members are among them," she told Family News in Focus. "It’s not our message that needs to change; we need to make friends and work with those who care about our issues."
Sarah Palin will probably have one of her biggest o...s ever when she hears about this.
So we must learn Kossacks, it's not just the message of God, guns, gays, uteruses, and keep those damn foreigners out of here, but more importantly, the friends that you have.
So you heard it here first, and what a joyous day.
