Superdelegate Christine "Roz" Samuels who has previously endorsed Hillary Clinton, then become undecided, now is supporting Senator Barack Obama for President.
Christine "Roz" Samuels, a superdelegate from Montclair, New Jersey, who was supporting Hillary Clinton announced she was now supporting Senator Barack Obama for President today, citing his ability to unite the country:
"I now support Barack Obama because he has brought about a new wave of hope and energy to this country, especially among our young people, who represent our future. People want to see change. Barack can help unite this country and help us embrace our diverse nation.
"I am also proud to support Senator Obama because he spoke clearly and forcefully against the war in Iraq from the start. I know he has the leadership to make sure we bring our young men and women home as quickly and carefully as possible, and ensure all Americans have access to affordable health care."
Christine "Roz" Samuels served as Secretary-Treasurer of the Newark Teachers' Union. Samuels withdrew her support for Senator Clinton after President Clinton ‘fairy tale’ remark and Senator Clinton Martin Luther King comments.
Its gets better, Senator Obama also picks up another Superdelegate.
Former 71st District Assembly Rep. Stan Gruszynski of Stevens Point, a superdelegate in the Democratic Party, has announced his endorsement for Sen. Barack Obama for president, according to a campaign news release today. [..]
"Senator Obama will bring the change we need here in Wisconsin and across America to strengthen the middle class and standing for regular Americans," Gruszynski said in the release. "From saving jobs from being sent overseas and creating new ones for our hardworking families, to creating universal health care and making college affordable to all, Senator Obama is a leader who will change America."
Gruszynski represented the 71st District in the state Assembly from 1984 to 1994. He was part of the Democratic leadership and chaired the College and Universities Committee.
Day by day, Barack Obama is closing the Superdelegate gap with Hillary Clinton.
