... well actually the Congressional Districts will be holding their delegate selection process conventions on that date.
But these conventions will pick the Hillary and Uncommitted delegations!
That could result in a second campaign for the Uncommitted delegation with Hillary winning yet more delegates!
Personally I think the whole delegation should NOT be seated but the fact of the matter is this at least needs considering. And as a Michigander I feel I can say that.
But the conventions present some controversial choices for the campaigns...
Should Barack try and stack the uncommitted delegates with his supporters or will this make the seating of the delegation more likely?
Should (and could) Hillary try and stack the uncommitted delegates with her supporters?
Does Barack need to fight to fill the uncommitted delegation with his supporters to defend against the above?
Is there a way to twist these conventions into a revote?
Is there a way to deadlock (using quorum rules) these conventions into not awarding any delegates.
Here are the rules
The Clinton campaign already has a slight margin on the rules and credentials committees of the general delegation:
Clinton Rules 3 Uncommitted Rules 2
Clinton Credentials 3 Uncommitted Credentials 2
Clinton TBD 1 Uncommitted TBD 2
Committe Assignments
Really minor perhaps, but highly strategic also, no?
I do not want to be alarmist, but it strikes me that someone who isn't making phone calls or driving to TX should be thinking this through.
