Yessir, we know how to do ourselves proud down here in the Peach State, the state that gave you Sen. Saxby Chambliss, the honorable gentleman who followed Karl Rove's leading and compared the very honorable Vietnam hero, Max Cleland, to Osama, and then went on to a (questionable) win, and has unfailingly rubber-stamped all Dubya's fondest wishes.
Then we gave you Rep. Lynn Westmoreland, the guy who thought the Ten Commandments should be in every state capital, but couldn't name more than two of them. The very one who, in questioning Valerie Plame, was more interested in whether or not she were a Republican than in getting to the bottom of her "outing."
Now we give you the honorable Rep. Jack Kingston (R) who goes on the Dan Abrams program and questions Obama's patriotism because he won't wear a flag lapel pin, WITHOUT, himself wearing a flag lapel pin.
I can only say I'm sorry to have inflicted them upon you.
I don't know. Maybe it's something in the water. They don't seem to care what idiots they make themselves out to be. The malady continues throughout our state legislative houses. Our governor, lt. governor, and our stellar speaker of the house are also Repugs.
One thing that may help is that a young man named Rand Knight is challenging Saxby Chambliss for his Senate seat. I believe Chambliss is truly vulnerable this year. I believe the "Change We Can Believe In" campaign will bring sweeping changes in GA.
I can only hope and pray, and WORK!
