During the general election it is conventional wisdom that large voter turn out for a party helps that party's candidates up and down the ticket in state and local races. Has anyone seen any stories or analysis of what impact the large Democratic Party turnout is having during this primary season down the ticket? Clearly it shows large support for democratic presidential candidates, and perhaps it is good indication that a Democratic will be elected to the White House this November. But beyond that tea leaf, I was wondering what influence the large turn out was having on state and local races across the country currently? Any observations?
