Sorry this is a short diary. Keith Olbermann just said on Countdown that he'll be doing a Special Comment on the HRC campaign tactics on tomorrow night's show! I thought this would be a perfect topic for him, but I didn't know if MSNBC would allow him to do it.
Fire up the TiVo's y'all, this is going to be good!
Ok, I'm adding more to this now that I've had a minute to calm down.
My mother always defends Hillary Clinton. She says that as a woman, she has to engage in tough and dirty campaign tactics, she has to "play with the boys." This isn't being "assertive" anymore. It's not even dirty campaigning, that's way too weak of a phrase. Hillary Clinton is now actively engaging in race-baiting. I suppose a Democrat could act that way...*if that Democrat's name were George Wallace.*
She does not want my vote, she's already made that clear. She thinks that I'm insignificant as a student and a red-stater for the primaries. I only wonder why I should vote for her in the general.
She will destroy the Democratic Party. Those of us loyal Democrats in the South and the red Western states will continue to be marginalized in favor of the power bases on the coasts (nothing against those of you on the coasts, but Hillary has signalled her clear intent to undermine the 50-State Strategy). Young voters and African-Americans will sit this one out. We as a party will be right back where we were in 1994.
I hope Keith Olbermann puts the final nail in this farce of a campaign.
