The Clinton campaign has pulled out all the stops to torpedo the Obama candidacy, now clearly trying to paint him as the 'black' (and 'affirmative action') candidate who can't win the big states, and thus would lose to McCain in November.
Ironically and shortsightedly, it is highly improbable that Hillary Clinton could win the general election without the black vote, which she is now in the process of blowing away forever.
We do wish Barack Obama would display more toughness and strength in his demeanor, as we believe that, whatever other cases having been made against him, that his appearing to be too much of lamb is the one thing that could most trouble the delegates' hearts and get Clinton the nomination, despite the math.
So assuming now, that the Clintons with their dark strategy and considerable insider influence are able triumph in Denver, we have to wonder about the prospects of an Obama Write-In movement nationwide, with or without Obama's encouragement.
Indeed, such a movement might ensure a McCain win. Then again, given the tepid GOP support for their candidate, the crossover Obamacan factor, the increasing numbers of Dems who have had it with the Clintons, and the groundswell desire for change, maybe not.
Therefore, we'd like to see the polling organizations start to include this question in their surveys:
If Hillary Clinton wins the Democratic nomination for POTUS, would you write-in a vote for Barack Obama in the general election?
