WASHINGTON — The Florida Democratic Party plans to move forward with a June 3 vote-by-mail primary to restore the state's role in the presidential race, a top state Democrat said Wednesday.
State Sen. Steven Geller said a formal announcement would come Thursday or Friday.
So, that settles that.
UPDATE - Apparently this isn't breaking, so I took that out of the title. To answer a question asked by people in the discussion, Florida can have a mail in primary as long as the state doesn't pay for it (ie, paid for from elsewhere, AFAIK).
UPDATE II - Even though this article does make it sound like a "done deal", as some people downthread have expressed skepticism. I've retitled to reflect this.
