President George W. Bush has become the latest sensation on youtube, starring in his own viral video touting his vocal talent by singing in public for the first time in his disastrous eight years as President. He gave his unflattering performance at the annual Gridiron dinner, a get together of cabinet secretaries, diplomatic officials and journalists last Saturday night in Washington:
As can you see, The W donned a cowboy hat for his 'farewell song' which went to the tune of "Green Green Grass of home". The performance was warmly received by the audience who didn't seem to care that the lyrics were nothing but a laundry list of scandals from the bush years for example "Down the lane I look, Dick Cheney is strolling with documents he'd been withholding", plus "like the fuss you made over Harriet and Brownie", and "For there's Condi and Dick, my old compadre, talking to me about some oil rich Saudi" and probably the most infamous yet "my good friend Scooter, finally free of the prosecutor".
I must admit it was funny but the scandals embraced in the song is another reminder why we desperately need a new face in the White House.
