It seems to me Kath25 left out a few options on her poll. I believe it is Hillary's prerogative to continue her campaign through the Puerto Rican primary. If going into the convention she usurps the Florida and Michigan non-primary delegates, and somehow cobbles together enough super-delegates to win the nomination, holding my nose and voting for Hillary is not something I can live with.
I don't believe ignoring the majority of states, disenfranchising the voice of the people is to be rewarded with my vote. Now I've never voted for a Republican, but I think it not only be counterproductive, and go so far as to say giving her my vote would be unpatriotic.
To be a sheep and vote " the party" would be akin to voting for the Shia as opposed to the Sunni.
I would vote the "down ticket Dems" but voting for Hillary would be just as unacceptable as voting for McCain. I'm also convinced that not voting for president would produce only silence. At this point my "protest vote" would probably be in the form of a write in vote for Obama. Here's the thing. By doing that I don't feel I'm wasting my vote, I am saying no.
I have lived through LBJ (Vietnam) Nixon, Ray Gun , and now 8 freakin years of George Bush. This country deserves better.
