With all of the attention being given Obama's pastor, it seems strange that Fox, CNN, MSNBC, etc., etc. have failed to give equal attention to the man with whom John McCain has campaigned and whom he has labeled his "spiritual advisor" -- Rod Parsley.
Senator John McCain hailed as a spiritual adviser an Ohio megachurch pastor who has called upon Christians to wage a "war" against the "false religion" of Islam with the aim of destroying it.
Who is this man McCain calls his spiritual advisor and what does he espouse? Have a look courtesy of www.rightwingwatch.org:
On February 26, McCain appeared at a campaign rally in Cincinnati with the Reverend Rod Parsley of the World Harvest Church of Columbus, a supersize Pentecostal institution that features a 5,200-seat sanctuary, a television studio (where Parsley tapes a weekly show), and a 122,000-square-foot Ministry Activity Center. That day, a week before the Ohio primary, Parsley praised the Republican presidential front-runner as a "strong, true, consistent conservative."
So, the man John McCain campaigns with and calls his spiritual advisor seems to give people airplanes from God and heal their sickness just by touching them. Does John McCain believe these things are possible. If he does, why doesn't McCain get him to touch him cause God to give him his own private Learjet to fly between campaign stops.
Mr. Parsley refers to those of us in the "tortured and angry homosexual population" as the "forces of darkness" who want to destroy marriage and get special rights just because we have "an agenda" to have the same rights as everyone else and to protected from hate crimes. I suppose maybe I do feel tortured and angry sometimes -- angry for being tortured by people like Rod Parsley. And what was with that closing his eyes, shaking his finger and lolling his head about for several minutes.
Does Mr. McCain think I am a force of darkness?
Oh and I truly did not know that African Americans had become the "preferred prey of the abortion industry" and that Planned Parenthood was trying to "systematically eliminate the African Americans". McCain should really make this a campaign issue and steal the African American vote.
Then comes my favorite part when he screams at the crowd:
Man your battle stations. Ready your weapons...I came to incite a riot..lock and load.
Why is he not being investigated by the Department of Homeland Security? Why are not CNN, etc. asking John McCain why he has not repudiated these statements? Is this not inciting terrorism?
Oh yes, I forgot, because as the Mr. Parsley puts it, he is part of "the largest special interest group in America". I thought conservative were supposed to be against the special interests?
I am sending this video to all the major networks and calling them out on their hypocrisy. I hope that you will too.
