Kiran Chetry at least twice this morning said with no context at all that Barack Obama "by his own choice" took his name off of Mich. ballot. Do not let this go answered!
Most people who hear this over and over will OBVIOUSLY have the wrong impression. "well, he decided to take his name off, that is his problem." The uninformed may even begin to think he did so because he thought he might gain somehow-- this is how it came across when I heard it.
Do you want this to be the statement of "objective" anchors?
Is this accurate?
Email cnn, say whatever you want -- but for Pete' Sake -- SAY SOMETHING!

Here is the email I sent:
Why has Kiran Chetry twice this morning said that Obama "by his own choice" kept his name off the ballot in Michigan?
Is this how the DNC would charecterize it?
Is this how Obama would charecterize it?
Is this how Hillary Clinton would like to have it framed?
Such a statement without appropriate context is unconscionable, Shame on you.
All the major Democratic candidates agreed not to campaign in either Michigan or Florida because the states violated party rules. This was the decision of the DNC. And in Michigan, most of the major candidates were not on the ballot. Neither John Edwards, Barack Obama, Bill Richardson or Joe Biden were on the ballot – they withdrew their names from the ballot to honor the rules. Hillary essentially broke with her party in keeping her name on the ballot. CNN—you know this and it is reprehensible for you to mislead your viewers who just hear, "Obama chose not to have his name on the ballot in Michigan." What is wrong with you?!
