This nightmare has got to stop! It just really needs to be over, if for no other reason than I need a good night's sleep. But I see only one way to show the world (or at least the superdelegates) that it's time to put an end to Hillary's destruction.
We need the high-ranking Democrats that have already endorsed Barack to go on the offensive. They need to be on every talk show and do every morning news program. They need to be on CNN, MSNBC, and yes, even FOX every day until Pennsylvania. There needs to be...I'm sorry...but a ton of white, male and female voices supporting Barack's candidacy. I think they could lend great credibility to Barack's brilliant observations of the feelings of discomfort that we all have around issues of race. But more importantly, they need to send the signal to white voters that, Guess what? It's still okay to like Barack Obama. It really is that fundamental.
And I don't get why that's not happening!!! They have already said he's the best choice; they said they believed in him. Right now, their silence is deafening! I want to hope they aren't trying to see which way the wind blows before coming out to support him now when he really needs them. I want to believe they really do know he's the one we need.
What are they so afraid of? They've already pissed off the Clintons, so what's the big deal now in actually making the choice to stick with the man you said you support? This is when your loyalty is tested! Not when things are going well and everyone's having a blast at fun rallies. There comes a time when these leaders really do need to GET OUT THERE and STAND BY THEIR CHOICE.
I honestly cannot believe the Clintons have been allowed to destroy this party. We really are our own worst enemies, but there's more to it than that. I cannot say this more emphatically: We are going to lose to McCain if Hillary is allowed to continue to destroy Obama. It's just that simple. And yet, the party leadership just lets the Clintons dictate when and how this race will end. It's INFURIATING!!! Cindy McCain probably already has her inaugural ball gown picked out, and we're stuck in this CRAPPY situation because NOBODY has the guts to tell the Clintons to... get lost! (I'm trying to keep my language clean.)
The level of fear that either the Clintons or the media hold over these people must be quite alarming. I really don't get it. I swear I don't. Thoughts??? Suggestions???
