Oh no she didn't. Yes she did. On AC360 yesterday, she threw out the mantra that Obama doesn't put his hand over his heart when he says the pledge of allegiance. He is not patriotic, in her fabulously addled brain. Two words to describe Dee Dee Myers, former White House Press Secretary to none other than the Clintons: ZERO CREDIBILITY.
One of two things are going on with her.
- She is dumb, and really believes, like some of the other nut jobs that have publicly expressed their "deep concern" over the patriotism of Senator Obama, that he doesn't say the pledge of allegiance or put his hand over his heart when he says it, or whatever their false claim is. Anyone that has half a brain, can view video, and read, knows these claims are bunk. If you are someone who is all up in Washington and politics, you know it full well. Or should, and if you don't, you're dumb.
Or...
- She really knows the truth, but is just saying it to try and help her friend Hillary, in hopes of a nomination as the first female President of the United States. In this case, that would mean if her false allegations do in fact help Hillary, and say Hillary did in fact get the nomination, it would be ill-gotten gains for Hillary. I just don't see how there is any pride of ownership in that, and it goes against the tenor of feminism. True feminism would suggest you earn your way, not cheat to get there.
Regardless, if it's stupidity, or fanning the flames of false claims, it does not bode well for women and feminism. Acting dumb, or malicious, compromises efforts of women to rule their local PTA, let alone the world. It does not bode well for a woman who claims that women should rule the world. It is a very sad testament to Dee Dee Myers and her practice of how women should get to higher places in life. There are women in this world capable of ruling, but Dee Dee, you just aren't one of them.
