Last week, I called on Rep. Gary Miller to reimburse the taxpayers $1.28 million for an earmark that he placed in the 2005 Highway bill. You can read the release here.
We got some great folks to pick it up and write about it in the netroots.
The liberal O.C. posted thisstory.
Down with tyranny had this to say.
The good folks at Calitics put it on the front page.
Thanks for posting and we are working to get more folks to pick it up. If you can, please contribute now to keep the momentum going.
We also had a good week on the political front. We received 67% of the votes at the local Democratic Party nomination conference on Saturday and are one step closer to getting the Democratic Party nomination for the primary.
Our efforts this past week are a good symbol of the type of campaign I plan to run. We are going to work hard on the ground to earn grassroots support and we will hold Rep. Gary Miller accountable for his unethical actions in Congress through the media.
This is not the first and only time Rep. Gary Miller has blurred the lines and as the campaign goes on, we will establish an undeniable pattern of Gary Miller putting personal gain before the public interest.
I can’t - our campaign can’t – do this with out you. Donate what you can today before the filing deadline on March 31st. We are trying to get 128 donors with this fundraising drive to symbolize the $1.28 million that Miller earmarked to help himself.
Thanks so much for your support and help.
Ron
