Obama's historic and very courageous speech on race seems to be turning the tide that had seemed to be going against him after the continuous playing of the video clips of Rev. Wright on TV.
He showed what a great, courageous leader he will be by tackling the issue of race, against the advice of many people.
He showed in action that his words of a new type of politics are more than "just words", by deciding to tackle head-on a topic that is so critical to healing and unifying people for progressive change.
He did it without the use of poll-based politics, but rather from a point of conviction that it was the right thing to do.
He did it from a point of faith in the American people, that they would hear what he had to say and make the right assessment and decision. His faith is being shown as having been correctly placed!!
The numbers for Gallup are showing a clear recover and uptrend! It will only continue as people digest his powerful call and messages.

Gallup in the page that shows the polls of Obama vs Clinton says the following:
Clinton’s recent surge among national Democrats appears to be receding
PRINCETON, NJ -- Hillary Clinton's recent lead over Barack Obama in national Democratic nomination preferences has dwindled to the point that the two are now nearly tied, with Clinton at 47% and Obama at 45% in March 18-20 Gallup Poll Daily tracking.
The graph that you can see at the link above shows that Sen. Hillary had her highest lead of 7% over Obama on March 18th. This was a lead that she had gained after the Rev. Wright videos.
After Obama's historic speech on March 18th her numbers have been trending down while Obama's numbers have been going up. Today's numbers are a statistical tie with Hillary up by 2% over Obama. However with the clear upwards trend of Obama's numbers it seems clear that next week he will be up, with the lead.
Yes We Can! Build bridges where walls had kept us apart!!
UPDATE: CBS Poll results (thanks to comment by sam2300 below) shows that Obama's speech was received very positively. A very different take from the negative story that pundits on TV and media untiringly attempt to spin.
This CBS report states:
71% of voters following the speech think Obama did a good job explaining his relationship with Rev. Wright.
