As the crickets start their Easter chirping, CNN is (mis) leading with a story implying that the passport flap was carried out by an Obama supporter
A magnificent little spin job, currently sending the legions of Obama haters online into a tizzy.
The headline: Chief of firm involved in breach is Obama adviser
Recall, in this emerging story, there were AT LEAST THREE BREACHES of Obama's passport file. These were done by employees of Stanley, Inc., who were FIRED. This was euphemistically referred to as "imprudent curiosity". Philip Nolan, CEO of this company, is a Clinton donor. Evidently this fact did not merit mention anywhere in the first 2/3 of the article.
In contrast, an employee of Analysis corp. breached Clinton's file ONCE, evidently during a training session. This employee was "disciplined" by the Dept of State. Buried at the end of the article is the following text:
The source said there has been no problem in the past with the Analysis Corp. employee, who has "extensive" experience. The worker has been with the company for years and has always worked under a State Department contract.
Explaining that the department had "complimented" this person for work in the past, the source said the individual is considered a "terrific" employee, except for this one instance, characterized as an "aberration."
The department asked the Analysis Corp. not to take any administrative action against the employee while the investigation is under way.
We'll see how this shakes out, but presenly it looks like CNN is keen to spin this in an anti-Obama direction.
