Since I am from the uber liberal and uber green and latte utopia of North America-- Portland, OR I don't
count according to HRC and her handlers. Here is my opinion anyway. I am active in local Politics and very engaged and I talk to about two dozen or more people a day-- Rep and Dem and Green and Indy. black, white, asian, gay, mixed, straight, bi, male. female and nearly all are voting For BHO in May. Several repubs have changed parties to do so and a few greens I know are re entering the fold.
The common thread I hear, especially from women in this city, is that they want a woman candidate but not her.
I have never posted a diary on KOS but I feel I need to now. This is a serious election and serious issues are at hand and a new direction is needed badly and she cannot bring that voice, has not brought that voice or leadership.
Also to be quite frank, if I hear another snipe from BIll(whom I used to respect) Mark Penn(yuk) and or Woflson
I will need an air sickness bag. Talk about below the belt punches. This cannot be real. Hill and her handlers are losing her respect and votes and later clout at the convention and beyond. Soon, trust me, super dels are going to pledge to end this travesty of a campaign to get unity before it is too late and that is fast approaching with the Clinton tactics.
HERE IS WHY:
Too much petty sniping and subtle and insulting innuendo. Bill using the mugged comment or Ferraro's unapologetic rants. A lot of us here Oregon want it to end. She cannot win without stealing the nomination with super delegates and that will alienate a lot of people, including me and nearly everyone I know.
My gripes are about her recent conduct and her record-- to start she failed at getting health care, was on the WAL MART board of directors, voted for the war and the bankruptcy bill and the crappy medicare bill and is a right leaning candidate.
60 years ago Harry Truman said that if you run a right leaning dem against a repub the repub will always win except the odd election of 92 with Perot in the mix.
The Clinton white house years were a mixed bag and fairly disappointing as he had no coat tail appeal and we lost congress. Welfare reform for single moms but not corporations. Geez what a nice thing to do and what about NAFTA!
What a progressive and proud legacy she is running on.
I hope a woman does run in 2016--Barbara Boxer or Pelosi or someone else who is progressive and charismatic.
Not Hill! Not now! IT Should be NEON sign obvious that Barack has more appeal and is winning the Nomination.
