I'm just putting the finishing touches on Dear Superdelegates, a website that's an open letter to Democratic Party superdelegates. In it, I detail the reasons that the superdelegates should respect the wishes of the nation's electorate, and not undertake any "backroom" actions to deliver the nomination to the second-place candidate.
The letter talks about the alienation and disenfranchisement the superdelegates could cause if they take the nomination away from the pledged delegate winner.
At this time, with so much attention being paid to the superdelegates, I think it's important that they know that we expect them to abide by the wishes of the American people.
It's for this reason that I'm asking those who read the letter and agree to sign their name and hometown in the comments section. Once we've gotten a ton of people to sign on, we will bring this to the attention of the superdelegates. Along the way, I think we can generate some media attention as well.
