We have been hearing about Hillary's money woes for weeks, ever since she loaned herself 5 Million dollars to make it through January. People began to wonder if the Clinton campaign was in serious trouble financially, but after announcing she'd raised 35 million in February those murmurs seemed to die down a bit.
Apparently, the murmuring is starting to get louder.

I just saw this blog in my hometown newspaper asking the question everyone's been whispering for weeks:
From Michael Sneed of the Chicago Sun-Times:
Is Hillary broke?
March 28, 2008
BY MICHAEL SNEED Sun-Times Columnist
Scoop du jour? Sneed hears major money problems in the Clinton camp may soon become a coroner knocking on her campaign door.
• To wit: Word is the cash feeding into Hillary Clinton's campaign coffers has not only slowed down in a big way, undisclosed campaign debts that have yet to be made public could signal the end and have insiders biting their nails.

"Hillary needs to raise money to stay alive," a top Dem source said.
• Translation: "It won't necessarily be politics which may force her out of the race," said a top Dem source. "There is no hanky panky going on, but Hillary needs to raise money to stay alive . . . and word is she may not be able to climb out of the money hole."
• The buckshot: "I think it's safe to say Hillary's not going to dip into her pocket again," the source added. "And if her employees start taking pay cuts while chasing the dream . . . it's usually the beginning of the body becoming totally cold."
Interesting observations indeed.
We've all been pulling our hair out - well, those of us who HAVE hair have been pulling it out - wondering when Howard Dean, the DNC, the super delegates, Al Gore or SOMEONE with a pair of functioning gonads would step in and end this miserable slugfest. Maybe Clinton's cash register will do it for us.
Peace.
UPDATE!
I just thought I should do my part to help Senator Clinton.
UPDATE PART DEUX!!!
Guess what I just heard on "Countdown?" Could Dems be floating the governorship of New York as a consolation prize? According to Johnathan Alter of Newsweek, they could be offering her that very thing.
From Alter's column:
Some Democrats terrified that their bloody primary campaign will doom them in November are floating a consolation prize for Hillary Clinton: governor of New York.
The travails of New York Gov. David Paterson have opened up a new potential career path for Clinton, according to well-informed Democratic Party insiders who refused to allow their names to be used when discussing contingencies. They want her to consider the option if she concludes after the April 22 Pennsylvania primary that she cannot overtake Barack Obama for the party's presidential nomination. Hillary Clinton, while fully committed to continuing her presidential campaign, was said to be open to discussing the idea, while Bill Clinton rejected it out of hand.
In a word: "Wow."
It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
