With somewhere around 6,000 ballots counted in Santa Fe, New Mexico, it looks like Charter Amendment Number 5 establishing Instant Runoff Voting (called "Ranked Choice Voting" in the amendment) for municipal elections is headed for a landslide victory. The current percentage stands at 65% in favor! This continues a long streak of local victories for IRV around the country. If IRV were in place at the federal level, we would have no reason to fear Ralph Nader's entry into the race. Go IRV!
