It looks like Barack Obama is going to try to disenfranchise the Michigan voter and make sure their vote won’t count or ever be counted with a new primary. If Barack Obama does not get the 2025 delegates needed to win and tries to bully the super delegates to give him the margin while disenfranchising the voters of Michigan, this is not very democratic. The only one to blame if we have a brokered convention is Team Obama
As Michigan searches for a way to validate its delegates to the Democratic National Convention, the state party reports that Sen. Barack Obama's campaign has nixed the idea of a new "firehouse primary.''
The Detroit Free Press reports today that Obama's campaign told the state's top party official that they wouldn't accept Gov. Jennifer Granholm's (pictured at right) idea of a party-sponsored primary.
I heard Rep. Wasserman Schultz who is on the rules committee say that the Florida and Michigan delegates will be seated and Howard Dean has no say. If Hillary gets those delegates and I feel she deserves them and should fight for them all the way to and through the convention, even if it means a brokered convention and they choose Al Gore.
I feel Florida having record turnout was fair to both, they were both on the ballot, if any thing was unfair is that Obama was running ad's on CNN and MSNBC that could be seen in Florida and Michigan for 3 days before the primary. And for Michigan, their was a huge campaign to vote not for
Hillary but for uncommitted, so I feel Michigan was fair too because Obama was on the ballot as "Uncommitted" proxy.
I also feel caucuses are inherently undemocratic where the old and disabled and a lot of others are excluded. If the primaries were winner take all, like the republicans, Hillary would be the nominee.
