Calling all Kossacks in the Chicago area to come show some support for and learn about some amazing green businesses.
Green Scene on Northside Prep's grounds along the Chicago River next Saturday, April 19 from 12-5pm.
The CASE Project is holding its second annual GREEN SCENE. Come out and support this great organization as well as some amazing businesses that are seeking to raise awareness of green products and practices in the Chicago community (and beyond).
In celebration of Earth Day, CASE Project is holding their second annual Green Scene on Northside’s grounds along the Chicago River. The indoor/outdoor festival is dedicated to raising community awareness about available eco-friendly practices.
In addition to providing a showcase for area green organizations, the event’s unique focus is to present environmentalism in a way that is accessible and demonstrable to visitors of all ages. The intent is to provide practical ideas that each visitor can integrate into everyday life.
The event features vendors, informational booths, hands-on activities and kids’ crafts that highlight all the different aspects of leading an environmentally friendly lifestyle, such as organic food, fair-trade products, green energy sources, and recycling and conservation programs.
These are all really amazing companies that are dedicated to providing eco-friendly alternatives to how we live on a daily basis.
I hope to see many fellow Kossacks there! I'll be helping my girlfriend out with her green pet-supply business, The Leash We Can Do! Come by and say hello. For those unable to attend, you can still check out the websites of these companies and support them online. Little changes start with individuals making smart choices about their lives, but can build into a world-altering movement!
