With respect to the US economy, a majority of Americans are saying: "What are we doing in this hand basket and where are we going?" And although most Americans may feel this way, the empirical data is only just beginning to emerge and we are just beginning to receive a bit of hard fact analyses that things are not good and are heading further south by the day. Earlier this week we heard objective straight talk concerning where things are and where America's economy is headed, from the 2001 award winner of the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences, Joe Stiglitz.
Joe Stiglitz, is an American economist and member of the Columbia faculty and author of "The Three Trillion Dollar War: The True Cost of the Iraq Conflict".
