So here is what I know about the movie so far ...
It has Ben Stein.
That and the fact that the movie's title is a self-parody. 'No Intelligence Allowed' aptly describes the production of this anti-science screed.
It interviewed Richard Dawkins and others under a project title "Crossroads" and claimed that the changed the project name to Expelled later, after the interviews. This is highly unlikely since the domain name expelledthemovie.com was registered before the interviews and the domain name crossroadsthemovie.com was registered just last month. So the producers are liars.

Some of the people involved in the movie were doing talks over the last year in which they were showing a plagiarized version of a Harvard and XVIVO animation called The Inner Life of the Cell. Plagiarized because they stripped the opening and closing credits and narration. So the producers are thieves.

One of the funnier episodes of the Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed pre-release saga is when one of the scientists interviewed in the movie, PZ Myers, showed up to see a pre-release screening in St. Paul. He had and his guests had pre-registered without problems, but the producer spotted him in the crowd and had security escort him off the premise. His family and guests were allowed to proceed. One of those guests, apparently unrecognized (why would one scientist be expelled and not the other?) was Richard Dawkins - an internationally famous biologist and also interviewed in the movie. The ironies are to be savored. And the producers are seen as idiots.

So what exactly is the movie about?
I haven't seen it but reading review of those that have, it appears to be a typical creationist screed about how science doesn't tolerate idiots and how Darwin caused the Jewish Holocaust. The producers are insane.

Despite the ads showing up for the movie, you may not get a chance to see it soon. Harvard and XVIVO slapped a cease-and-desist on the movie for the plagiarism of their cell animation. On the other hand, Expelled may want the publicity from a court case ... they may go ahead with their property theft.

In case you're curious about the broader anti-science agenda of this crowd (liars, thieves, idiots, and the insane):

Oh ... and it is likely that the Expelled folk produced this rap video to ridicule science and/or scientists. Most sci-guys that I know find it so over-the-top that they see it as a parody of the creationist's attacks themselves. Either way, its loads more entertaining than the movie. Check it out:
