Today, at Georgetown University, Sen. Joe Biden of Delaware gave the cold should to John W. McBush. Biden, a long critic of the Bush foreign policy, made it clear that McCain would be nothing more than a third Bush term.
In a major foreign policy address Biden obliterated the idea of a McCain presidency by saying the following:
When it comes to Iraq, there is no daylight between John McCain and George Bush. They are joined at the hip.
There will be no change with a McCain Administration and so there is a real and profound choice for Americans in November.
John McCain remains wedded to the Bush Administration's myopic view of a world defined by terrorism... It's time for a fundamental change, but that's going to require more than a great soldier. It's going to require a wise leader.
He also said, as he did during the Petreus Hearings, the the Bush-McCain policy has taken us from a position of drowning, to now treading water. This must stop! Sen. Biden told his viewers that we have a stark choice between more of the same or a new, brighter direction where our brave men and woman are finally safe! In conclusion he stated:
May God protect our troops, because as I speak they are dying... they are dying
Biden has never been afraid to say what he means, and that was quite evident today! In my mind this seemed to be an audition for a post in an Obama administration. He took down McCain, while at the same time played up the idea of change! I would love to see him at Obama's side, and soon, very soon!
